Hoping to present a realistic emotional battlefield, 2K blurs the ethical line with combat situations that aren't explicitly right or wrong. To that end, they get inspiration from Joseph Conrad's The Heart of Darkness, where sand functions as a force of a nature, a character, and even a weapon against your enemies.  

The single player option offers a deep character evolution; while, the co-op option offers free bonus content that allows new insight into the situations and characters one encounters in single player mode. 

Given all that, Spec Ops: The Line is still a third-person shooter, so unqiue and modern weaponry is plentiful.  Burn enemies with  white phosphorous or devastate their cover and their bodies with the awesome AA-12 (Auto Assault) shotgun.
