The Dawnguard DLC for Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, the 2011 X-Play Game of the Year, will cost $20 and add between ten and 20 hours of new content, says Game Director Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios in this E3 2012 gameplay demo.
Players can either become vampire lords or vampire hunters known as Dawnguards in the DLC. Each career track has its own perks, with vampire lords gaining powers that allow them to drain health, create minions, and dodge attacks by turning into bats. Dawnguards gain access to crossbows, a long-awaited weapon among Skyrim fans, and exciting new crafting techniques and materials, including dragon bone. Dawnguards can also have their own armored troll!
The Skyrim Dawnguard DLC also expands the werewolf perk tree.
The Dawnguard DLC is expected to release on June 26, 2012.
