Beyond for the PlayStation 3 was just announced at E3 2012. The game is from Quantic Dream and David Cage. The creators of Heavy Rain are using similar techniques to tell the story of a seemingly telekinetic young lady played by Ellen Page.
The scene shown at E3 2012 reminds me a bit of 70s psychic flicks like Carrie of The Fury. The main character, Jodie Holmes, is interrogated by a policeman, but does not speak. She does manage to throw a coffee mug with her mind.
Later, she takes on an entire brigade of armed soldiers, and downs a helicopter, warning them that they'd better leave her alone or she'll kill all of them. It's said with such conviction, you have to believe her.

According to David Cage, Beyond will be "emotional...but also epic and breathtaking." A super-power psychic vs. the government in a game made by David Cage? I want it.
