In this Assassin's Creed 3 gameplay video from the Ubisoft E3 2012 press conference, Ubisoft Montreal Producer Francois Pelland takes the stage for a demo of new protagonist Connor Kenway's trip through the game's 18th-century New England frontier setting.
Moving the series to the American Revolution makes for a dramatic change in atmospherics, and this video highlights that. Gone are the crowded city scenes of Italian Renaissance life, replaced with the cold, empty winter winds in the backwoods of early New England. Prancing deer, snarling wolves and small village life populate the scene, and since this is Assassin's Creed after all, it means plenty of opportunity for the spilling of red blood onto pure, white snow.
The climbing mechanics are also back, but this time you'll be all over cliffsides and forrest trees.
