Electronic Arts has officially announced Battlefield 3 Premium. The service is available today for $49.99.
PlayStation 3 owners who sign up for Battlefield 3 Premium will gain access to Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, the first of five upcoming expansion packs, immediately, as well as early access to future expansion packs as well. Non-Premium PS3 owners can play Close Quarters on June 19.
For Xbox 360 and PC players who sign up for Premium, you’ll be able to jump into Close Quarters on June 12, and non-Premium players will gain access on June 26.
Premium members will also receive access to a number of exclusive in-game items, such as the ACB-90 knife, Premium dog tags, new soldier and weapon camos, and Assignments.
Premium players can also reset their Score/Minute, Kills/Deaths, Win/Losses, and other stats should they want a fresh start, and they’ll also receive queue priority, new Platoon decals, and you’ll be able to save Battle Reports.
There will also be Premium-only Double XP weekends and special events to give players even more ways to level up and personalize their experience. DICE will also be giving Premium players access to video strategy guides and early looks at future content coming to BF3 as well.
