
Electronic Arts has issued a press statement about the now-settled West and Zampella Vs. Activision case. In it, Activision is called "absurd," and the settlement characterized as a vindication of the Modern Warfare creators.
"Activision's refusal to pay their talent and attempt to blame EA were absurd. This settlement is a vindication of Vince and Jason, and the right of creative artists to collect the rewards due for their hard work," the statement reads.
EA has partnered with Zampella and West's new development house, Respawn, and was once a party to the case, with Activision asking for $400 million and alleging that EA unlawfully poached Zampella and West.
Now that the case is settled, Respawn may be more free to discuss the mysterious title it has been working on since 2010. Here's the one screenshot from the game:
