Bullet Run Announcement Trailer »

Sony Online Entertainment's freshly revealed Bullet Run is an upcoming free-to-play online shooter that is built around a deadly near-future reality series in which contestants gun one another down. It's not clear in the three-page interview if Bullet Run will follow SOE's Planetside 2 as a PC exclusive or if it will join Dust 514 as yet another F2P shooter on the PlayStation 3.

Bullet Run is designed for up to 20 players to duke it out with fully customized characters and weapons in the game's six maps. Acony describes the experience as "pro wrestling meets Big Brother with guns," with each individual match amounting to a single episode of the fictional series. It actually sounds like a pretty neat idea, and a much smaller-scale sort of experience than Planetside 2.
