XCOM Enemy Unknown

2K Games has confirmed an October 9, 2012 release date in North America for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Firaxis Games' modern day take on the classic turn-based strategy PC title. An international release will follow the North American launch a few days later, on October 12, 2012.

Those who pre-order XCOM: Enemy: Unknown will get their hands on the Elite Soldier DLC Pack. This free download includes an in-game recruit based on the soldier from the original PC game, X-COM: UFO Defense, an assortment of cosmetic troop upgrades, and complete color customization for all armor sets in the game.

In addition, a second special edition release is coming for Enemy Unknown that is exclusive to the PC version of the game. In the box, players will find an art book, a fold-out poster of the in-game headquarters, an XCOM insignia patch, desktop wallpaper, a copy of the soundtrack, and, of course, the game itself.
