Microsoft is using the lure of Halo 4's box art as an excuse to teach the fan community about a little thing called cooperation. A series of e-mails were sent out to the community, with each one containing a chunk of an image and a note that read: "Your piece of the Halo 4 puzzle." The NeoGAF hivemind then put its many heads together to assemble the image (via Kotaku), revealing the official box art for Halo 4.
It's a pretty sweet image, wouldn't you say? We all got our first glimpse of the post-Halo 3 Master Chief in an announcement trailer at E3 2011. News has been trickling out slowly since then, with the latest big one being the long-awaited confirmation of the game's release date: November 6, 2012. We'll certainly be seeing more of the game at 2012's E3, so stay tuned for more news in the coming weeks.

I dont think changing the series is inherently bad. I think 343 might be the change Halo need to stay fresh and interesting. im neither sold nor turned off. im going to wait and see before i judge.

Of course Micro Soft does this to lure fans and how Micro soft has Bungie by the balls,to be honest,Halo games are so over hyped just like the crappy X-Box 360 commercials,huehue.

Not sure if I'm a fan of it.... Most of the Halo box arts have Master Chief or the main character predominantly filling the "frame" or where he is the main focus. This one is less of that and more of what is going on behind him., at least that is what I saw first. I feel like this is more of an "Alien planet/ Predator" type cover. I get a feel of Chief not being the focus... I don't know just my thoughts... I'm used to Chief or the main character filling the frame.

It's different from many other covers, like in most covers its the main character facing you but looking away for example all of the assassin's creed covers or gears of war, or halo 3, another common cover is an emblem from the game like dragon age or skyrim, but in most cases the main protagonist is the main focus of the cover, and they are not as small. Chief is still the main focus but he's so small which can probably say somthing about how the gameplay will be, in a good way. Overall it's beautiful, but it also makes me want to play it even more.
