Atlus is bringing Persona 4: The Golden to PlayStation Vita users in the U.S. as a fall 2012 release, the game's website confirms. The Vita port was revealed back in summer 2011 for a Japan release as an expanded version of the PlayStation 2 game with new features and story elements. The Japan version arrives on June 14, 2012, but this is the first confirmation we've gotten of a planned localization for U.S. audiences.
Interestingly, the trademark text at the bottom of the official website may also hint at plans for additional platforms. Xbox 360 and Kinect are both listed under the trademark info even though there are no logos on the page for the Microsoft products. As Kotaku rightly notes, this could just be some copy/pasted text that was incorrectly edited. Wouldn't you rather hope for a wider platform release though? We're reaching out to Atlus for an update, so stay tuned.

Still pretty bummed that there isn't going to be a girl option in this version. Overall I'm really excited for a meaty RPG that I can play on my Vita
