Skyrim's DLC will be called "Dawnguard." Bethesda dropped the title, the image you see above on their blog, but they gave very little other information. Although we do know that it's coming this summer to Xbox 360. Bethesda promises more details about the downloadable content at E3 2012.
Because we have so little information to go on, it's the perfect time to wax philosophical in our comment section. Tell us what you'd like to see this summer when Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC is released.

how about you fan boys stop btching because microsoft was willing to pay to get dlc compared to sony not paying. honestly grow the and enjoy the effort that Bethseda is putting into dawnguard.
if you have a problem with it then dont play it. go play COD or any other game you like instead of ranting about who gets what.

Don't know much of Elder Scrolls lore, but I'm pretty much picking it up from the countless quests in skyrim and all the books I pick up and decide to take a gander at. However, this will not stop me from giving my theory; my theory is that we will go on a long campaign to make dragons accessible as mounts. That is my theory- it is mine.

I foresee a visit to Gamestop in the future for this PS3 owner. I'm not waiting for a company to "allow" me to spend MY money at THEIR convenience.

Suck it Playstation.

Bring Nerevar Back. The lore says he disappeared somewhere into Tamriel. Make Dawnguard revolve around finding him and helping him

Butthole bethesda holding out on PS3/PC owners to what end? I will not give you anymore money until you crawl out of microsofts pocket.

I think that in the new DLC you'll get your Sweet Role stolen and then you have to go report it to a guard and when you walk up to him he'll be all like "Let me guess someone stole your swee-" and then you punch him in the face mid sentence and you say "Yes some DID steal my Sweet Role D':" And then you and the guard go on an adventure to look for the bandit who stole your Sweet Role but along the way you end up becoming good friends and talking to each other and finding out about each other's life story. It turns out that the guard's name is Dave and all he wanted to be when he grew up was a baker but his father disapproved of that so he became a Guard instead and then you tell him "Dave, you're the best damn Guard I've ever met but I'd put gold on it that you're an even better baker" Dave then gets motivated to finish this one last assignment to help you get a Sweet Role and then he'll turn in his helmet for a chef's hat. (All this is happening as you're sitting around a camp fire at night by the way). So then the next day you guys go into the house of the suspected Sweet Role bandit and it turns out it's whomever you married! (If you haven't married anyone then it's the Guard's long lost brother Steve). Anyways you (Or the Guard) feel so betrayed that the objective that pops up after the Dialogue options is "KILL THE BANDIT" and you do and then you loot their body because you're a creep and want to see them in their undies. So anyways, you and Dave end up becoming really good friends and Dave becomes a baker and since he's Dave and knows all the bakers in Skyrim every bakery you go to you get a 25% discount (That's the perk you get for beating the DLC...you know...because all the DLC's of Bethesda's give you a perk, or a weapon, or something else but a 25% discount is your reward). So you'd think this is where it ends right? WRONG So all the players of Skyrim feel so betrayed at the end of the DLC due to it's poor ending everyone rages on the Bethesda boards and it turns out that a hacker or someone found out that the Bethesda forums were funded by EA! So with more investigating you find out that Bethesda is actually an EA company and they're actually not Bethesda! They're....BIOWARE! Soooo everyone's like "WTF BIOWARE YOU GUYS SUCK AT ENDINGS" And Bioware gets sad that they've done it yet again so they're like "ALRIGHT! WE WILL RELEASE FREE DLC FOR THE DLC THAT WILL CLARIFY THE ENDING OF THE DLC! WE RESPECT OUR WORK AS ART AND WON'T CHANGE IT BUT PROMISE TO CLARIFY IT. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANYONE WHO FEELS THEY HAVE BEEN LET DOWN BY THIS ENDING" And then everyone is like "LOOOOL hasn't this happened before? Whelp whatever" and by this point Half Life 3 came out but no one noticed because of everything that's happened and Gabe Newell gets pissed and shuts down valve. So. The answer to your question. What I think this DLC will be? Well...I think it's a plot to shut down Valve so that way Steam will no longer be in existence so EA's Origin can prevail and become the top Gaming service for PCs.....And that my friends is what "Dawnguard" is all about.

Theory 1: Think Shivering Isles+Knights of the Nine. Some dramatic event causes Vampirism to run rampant and the Daedric Prince Meridia leads the charge to quell them. We've seen Meridia's Daedra before in KotN and Shivering Isles took us to a Realm of Oblivion, so it's not unheard of.
Theory 2: Perhaps the time since the Oblivion Crisis has been enough for Dagon to recover the Mythic Dawn lost in Paradise, and his small band of immortal warriors attempt once again to claim Tamriel.
Theory 3: (This one took some work) The Dawngaurd are an ancient order dating back to the end of the Dawn Era, left in the mortal world by the Aedra to watch for anything that might damage it, and thus weaken the power of the Aedra, who had bound parts of their power to Nirn during it's creation. Here's what I've come up with from the lore I've found:
Lorkhan tricked or convinced many beings to assist in the creation of Nirn, notably Auri-El, the cheif of the Elven Pantheons. When Auri-El agreed to take part in the mortal realm's creation, the Elves were forever sundered from the spirit worlds of eternity, and for this Auri-El led the Elves against Lorkhan and and vanquished him, then Auri-El ascended to Heaven before his followers so that they might learn to escape from Nirn. One descnedent of the elves, the Dwemor, knew of this failure of their supposed god and came to reason that no god is perfect, and that they could seek out their faults and overtake them. To this end, they found the Heart Of Lorkhan, which was cast into the mortal realm by those who built the world, and used it's power and their knowledge to build a god of their own and to pass into the realms of the gods. However, war was brought upon them in the mortal realm, and they found themselves at risk of losing their ambitions in The Battle of Red Mountain, and so they made a decision. They called upon the power or the Heart of Lorkhan and attempted to use it to follow Auri-El, and so they all vanished from Nirn, suddenly and completely, leaving the Heart and their creations behind and believing that they had failed to create a means to topple a god. They were wrong. By using the Heart in such a way, they taught Lorkhan's power to escape from Nirn as they had. Now the Heart need only find some way tobe removed from the Mortal Realm with this knowledge in tow, that it might find it's body and regain it's power, which it succeeds in doing during the events of Morrowind.
So now, following my Lore-Logic, we have a possibility of Lorkhan returning to power, and perhaps attempting to undo Nirn, either to mend his mistake or else to sunder it and scatter the power of those who punished him

I just hope it really comes out for the 360 cuz I mean a lot of these things can be done on the PC through hacks and what not and the 360 needs some more legit entertainment from Skyrim :D and I also hope that they continue to make DLC's cuz you gotta admit, once you get a lot of the quests out of the game, it can ge pretty repetitive and boring. And the map should get bigger, WAY bigger haha

There have been rumors ciculating, but my idea is that they bring in Spears/Polearms as a part of the two handed perk tree (There would only have to be a few animations done since the work with Warhammer's and Battleaxe's is the main basics), Perk tree's would be added for your Vampirism/Werewolf abilities, new Werebears (They were in Battlespire, WHERE THE HELL DID THEY GO?), the ability for you to become a Jarl, and more magic spells with a revamped magic system (Because lets face it, trying to cast spells at higher levels sucked). Story wise, I believe it's going to focus on the full fall of the Aldmeri Dominion fully in Skyrim (The base story line for all character's is that the Imperials take over Skyrim in the war). This could also mean the reappearance of the island of Artaeum (See link) and how before it's disappearance it was overtaken by the Thalmore Leadership or something of the sort.
This is just my ideas, but I think they are valid.

Well am I the the only one who wants kids? Come on mabe they can have an age thing were the longer they are around the grow up. Mabe even become followers and if you die you can control them like you are still the same level but you cange how you look and rearange your perkes. She could talk to you more and actully give a damn about what you do like if you lead the compaines she can talk about. Just like really flush out the family thing I mean who says my badass barbarin nord cant be a loving father huh?
