Skyrim's DLC will be called "Dawnguard." Bethesda dropped the title, the image you see above on their blog, but they gave very little other information. Although we do know that it's coming this summer to Xbox 360. Bethesda promises more details about the downloadable content at E3 2012.
Because we have so little information to go on, it's the perfect time to wax philosophical in our comment section. Tell us what you'd like to see this summer when Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC is released.

It would be a better game if they had a wider selection of spells like in morrowind. They should put Capes and they should put enemies like minotaurs, krakens, and maybe even a gorgon. They should make it so you can put on multiple enchantments, not just two, like im morrowind. You should be able to to ride a dragon or some flying contraption and be able to do different while in it like shoot arrows or spells, control where your flying to, and if your close enough jump out of the contraption on to the enemies. You should be able to set you own traps. They should add flesh golems and more ra..ged weapons like throwing stars, throwing knives, and throwing hammers.

There definately has to be more armor.... i absolutely hate the helmets in this game. i always stick with a regular mages hood. they should have a helmet that looks like a knight's helmet. that would look pretty awesome, and maybe a matching armor set with it. crossbows will definately be awesome. another thing this game needs more of is character customization, like being able to get facepaint or tatoos or just change your characters appeareance. Also equipment customization would be amazing, especially drawings and paint on weapons and/or shields. and im not talking like huge designs that cover the whole armor piece, just like maybe a little design on the armor. It would definately be amazing to create your own hold and life, although its probably incredibly difficult to create, creating your own life would be something i would be willing to spend a lot of money on. i also definately think moving boats would be pretty cool especially the huge viking looking boats. i would love it if the fortress dawnguard was a huge castle like whiterun with a whole bunch of weapon and fighting based shops inside. i would love to see new armor and weapons because i am getting tired of looking at my ebony armor since it is the only good armor that also looks really good. i absolutely hate the look of the daedric armor. it looks way to evil and i prefer to stick as a hero kind of character.

Skyrim DLC Dawnguard info released in Gameinformer: choose to be a vampire or a member of the vampire slayer group Dawnguard. New perk trees for vampires and werewolves. Vampire transformation into vampire lord. Two new towns a vampire castle and a Dawnguard fortress. New armor and crossbows. Mounted combat, dragonbone weapons, and character customization in the Ratway. New dragons, shouts, and enemies. And probably my favorite part a return to the planes of oblivion!

Ok so heres what i would like to see in Skyrim i would love it if they would make a new difficulty were it was way more realistic like your weapon degrading after so long and you have to be a certain lvl before you can use a weapon kinda like beable to use any iron item as a basic and say for the next lvl like steel can be for like lvl 5 and up to use but u also need for instances for a steel longsword or dagger you would also need like 20 one-handed or two-handed for a two-handed sword also it would make it interesting if you had to start with every skill at 1 for more of a challenge. Plus heighten the skill caps so we can go beyond the max lvl make it infinite so u can continue to lvl up with more perks involved and what not and the enemies must stronger so the battles can be like way more longer. Also you should make God creatures that appear after you reach like lvl 100 to stand against you because they fear your power and wanna knock you down from fear of being overrun by you i think that would be pretty awesome. Which i no that parts kinda not realistic but it would add to the intensity of it and be pretty epic. Also i think there should be a new thing at the forges where u can make your own personal weapon if you have the gear like not the standard weapons but in a way you would want it to look like a personal touch to it idk how u could make that work but it would be awesome, but of course with extra additions you would need more materials. Also, like the others have said making your own fort would be awesome you could have a post of guards running around to make the city safe and if you wanted you could have your own personal assassins by your side like say you could have them target whoever you wanted from the fort without having to be there and have a dungeon for prisoners who try to raid your fort you could imprison the leader and torchure them until your told who sent them or just kill them off. Also a really hardcore boss like i mentioned with the gods but one that cant be beat no matter wat til like a really high lvl also the only way u could kill him is if you killed off all the gods which give you special armor and weapons of your major skills to take him on which boost your stats uber high, And with the skill boost it would be good to keep like the non-combat skills maybe at 100 and the combat skills a higher boosted stats to a possible 300 each or whatever seems logical to beable to kill off a god. And to find the gods they could be like a quest to find em so u dont get to em to quickly also they could be like the ancestors of the deadric rulers that are only heard in myths or idk im sure something could be figured out for them. This is just my ideas thrown out there i no i got off subject a little but i think the point was put wat i would like to see. But i doubt something like that could be done in such a short time but idk bethesda has impressed me so far.

I've seen some good suggestions, some great suggestions, and i've seen some straight dumb suggestions. I hope mines fall under great. First, i'd like there to be a personal stable for our horsees, and to be able to have at least 3-5 different horses, of which we can name personalize or sell. I also would like for the companion to be able to ride a horse of his/her own too.(as someone also suggested) Also i'd like the ability to ride two to a horse if need be. I'd like to be able to see the housecarl doing things when i return home, i.e. cleaning, cooking, making potions etc. There should be better lighting in our homes, And random raids would be great. I would like random visits from ppl. bringing gifts,(some of which would be unique/exclusive or rare) ppl. with new quest, like requests for aide, bounties, or challanges from ppl. that want to make a name for themselfs or just want to kill or battle me. I would like to see more involvement with the dogs, different breeds, being able to name them, and the option to keep them in the house. Town meetings, and public executions would be kool.A ghost village also. And to be able to capture and train one of the big cats to be a pet would be Awesome. And when there are massive corspes lying around, it would be cool/realistic to be able to smell the stinch of the rotting flesh. And lastly, to have more realistic interaction wtih your companion, like them saying they want to stop for rest/food, or when you are traveling alone and get in serious danger they show up on thier own to help if they are not too far away. And they start bar fights sometimes lol. Or they flirt with you,(random) no same sex though. And being able to feed your horse.

i think the title "DawnGuard' may have something to do with the dark brotherhood sanctury in "Dawn" star. maybe when every week in skyrim you get a quest that has to do with finding other brotherhood sancturies because when an imperiral squad or something like that raids the sanctury you get a quest to protect it, and if you fail you move to another sanctury. also it might have something to do with dawnstar itself. like maybe, oh i dont know? maybe then last few snow elves will be found in dawnstar and the remaints of the dwemer that werent effected by lorkhan's heart (the thing that destroyed the dwemer and made the dark elves) are trying to destroy the last few snow elves and you gotta either side with the dwemer and attack the remains of the snow elves or side with the snow elves and protect them from the dwemer.
The following weapons may include off either the the dwemer remaints body or the snow elves body or be given as a reward.
Dwemer:
Dwemer Pistol,
Dwemer throwable spear ( can craft using dwarven ingot, leather strips, and something else
Dwemer machine that can absorb the effects of a spell and reflect it to the attacker
Dwemer armor that is enchated to improve heavy armor by 20 for each piece of the armor
Dwemer teleporter, aim it somewhere and click and it will take you there, will need to be patched a million times though
Snow Elves:
Snow Elf Armor, like falmer but all pieces, white, eye slots, and like an iron helmet. identical to dwemer armor maybe
Snow Elf spear, like the dwemer's
Snow Elf ingots, like dwarven ingots and may appear at random in mines
Snow Elf potions which can improve all stats by 10 for 1 minute, can be crafted but expensive to make
Snow Elf skill books, you can choose five when you win with snow elves no more than that, cant sell
Snow Elf books, tells and reveals everything about the snow elves history and their enslavation by the dwemer and being mutated in to the wicked, blood crazy falmer.
It could also be about protecting dawnstar from raids every day.
OR the one thing i hope the most, you building a hold next to dawnstar you being the jarl able to elect a new high king when the old one dies, which can be killed by you in a repetable brotherhood quest or by natural causes, and making new houses in your hold and naming it and making the nine holds 10 once youve made your hold big enough. you could have a child and you your wife and children can live somewhere in the hold/ village/plot/ then you can attract citizens from all over tamriel to live in your hold. and then you can get them jobs like general store owner, black smith, or guard so murders dont happen in your city. the hold would be named dawnguard because it surronds dawnstar like a protective bubble.
I hope like my Ideas :D

Allow me to provide a comment with a sufficient amount of correct grammar.
I'm extremely excited about the announcement of DLC in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As many comments above have suggested, I am hopeful that this will include the races of Snow Elves and Deep Elves. I love more character variety. I am also curious to see what they will do with the areas of Cyrodiil and Morowind that was found outside of the maps border by using computer-glitchy-ness.
Of course, I hope to see the addition of weapons such as Spears (Please Go- I mean, Bethesda.) Also, more spells that make the training and time feel like it was well spent; attacks with ridiculous area-of-effect and damage.
Now, seeing as it's called, 'Dawnguard' one can assume that it is a plot expansion, not an inventory/ spell addition, so weapons and spell upgrades and such may or may not be included. It takes time to craft the masterpieces that they weave, so we must take it with a grain of salt it they don't include every thing we want. With that said, I am really expecting Snow Elves, Spears and a visit to Cyrodiil and Morowind (for reasons I mentioned above.) but I won't be disappointing if they are not.
I believe that the Dwemmer have a large enough mystery that they could actually play a part in Elder Scrolls: Online or a future "Elder Scrolls VI", so I do not believe that they will believe they will be included in Dawnguard.
Now, my wishlist would include:
-More Races (Snow Elf, Deep Elf, Deidra Etc)
-More weapons. (More selections of the current weapons and added ones).
-Upgraded Spells
-More Vampire and Werewolf perks.
-An intriguing and exciting plot that flows nicely and gives the name, "Dawnguard" it's dues.
-Even more places to explore.
-The choice to make a house in BFE if you'd like to (Make your wife, and children if that's added, live there.).
It might seem like a bit much, but, meh.

It would be cool if you could start again somewhere else but with new races! That would be cool!

can my companions please ride horses so they can keep up? SO sick and tired of having to wait for them to reach me, and sometimes the game glitches so they don't come and help until 10 years and fifty days later.
DaedricXaiiken
what we need is dragons that breathe lightning. think about it, fire and frost are used; but no lightning. how sick would that be? they would sound all high pitched, and they'd change the weather like the dragon at helgen! and they would be way stronger than elder dragons, they'd be like "emperor dragons", or "dragon overlords". and they should definately add on to the mages guild, go deeper into the psyjick order, expand the blades quests some more. and they NEED to insert a character who can teach you how to craft your own arrows.i have a whole system worked out. like daedric for example: 1 daedra heart, 2 ebony ingots, 2 leather strips = 25 daedric arrows. or steel: 2 steel ingots, 2 leather strips = 25 steel arrows!

how about some multiplayer i would love to play with friends family and do quests together and there would be some much stuff we could do with the game if we made it where it was open world where people can join ur world sort of set the game up kinda like WOW some trade weapons with people or we they make it to where u can have ur own city and build ur own army and start wars with other people. we could definatley use some more magic skills the abiltiy to make ur own arrows would be awesome i mean theres a fletcher in solitude i should be able to learn how to make my own arrows.
TheJanitor_BW93
who wants to bet if they do add a crossbow in there it will be of dwemer origin
DrKepper
They should definitely add more difficult dragons. It would be awesome if they added a few monsters, not just dragons, that even at the easiest level are super difficult to kill. Maybe minotaurs, or centaurs, gryffins, etc.. My only complaint about this game is that once you get to a high level there is almost no challenge left.
More random events would be great. Maybe raids on towns (bandits, vampires, werewolves, giants, etc.) Coming upon small groups of people battling it out in the wilderness would be cool to see. They should also maybe expand on the Blades' fortress a bit. It kind of sucks, it's like it was added as an afterthought. Not many quests to do with them, and you can't upgrade the fortress or anything.
Also, being able to start a settlement would be awesome. I know that adding that in would likely be uber difficult, but awesome nonetheless. Like, you could go out and buy some land somewhere, build a house and plant crops, maybe hire a couple of people to help you, they can build their own houses. Slowly get more and more people, such as traders, a blacksmith, a tavern, etc.. Eventually it could be a city the size of Whiterun, complete with your little keep, guards, it's own population. The aforementioned random raids could even attack the town, ruin the economy, kill the citizens. You might even be forced to start again with almost nothing. Just a thought.
dremora13
they should have it so that you can build your own sanctuary in the mountains or any where and be able to create your own guild or something along those lines.
