PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale comes out the gates swinging with an already impressive lineup of Sony characters, but we here over at G4 think we know who’s next to be added to this stellar list.
The number of fan favorite characters and Sony exclusives could easily fill out five arenas to the brim with fighters. Characters like Jak, Snake, and Dante are sure to make the cut, but what of some of the other characters within the pantheon of Sony titles?
Let’s check out our top five character who we want to see make it to the Battle Royal.

Wander – Shadow of the Colossus
One of the best games to ever grace the PS2 needs to make an appearance in anything with the word “All Stars.” With blade and trusty bow, Wander plays like Link from that other series as you take shots from across the screen only to unleash steel once your opponent closes the distance. For his special ability, a shrill whistle calls in your mighty steed, Aggro, to come trotting into the level to kick and bash anyone who gets in his way.
For an ultimate attack, imagine the stage transforming into the upper torso of a colossus. Fists swinging, the ground shaking, and everyone screaming for their lives; this screen-sized brute won’t simply leave by waiting it out. Like any good colossi, you’re going to have to kill it. As the once-giant killer, Wander turns into a protector as he tries to keep the rest of the team from taking out his big attacker.

Nariko – Heavenly Sword
If there were ever a time to bring back this braided beauty, a fight between all the Sony licenses would be the perfect moment. While we never got a chance to see Nariko take up the accursed sword yet again, now would be the perfect time to get the fans that still desperately hold out for a sequel a taste of what could have been. She’s a versatile fighter with a sword that transforms into three different forms to fit the need of the warrior. As a quick attack, Nariko can call upon the mischievous Kia to take quick shots from off screen. Nariko plays as your good all-around character that can shift from speed to power in a moments notice.
Her ultimate attack brings out the full potential of the Heavenly Sword with all the power and sacrifice that goes along with it. Look at something like the Phoenix's ability in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Nariko becomes her own one-woman death squad with swords flying and slicing through the screen. All the while, her life ticks down until she’s paid the ultimate sacrifice for just a taste of ultimate power.

Sephiroth – Final Fantasy VII
It’s not like we haven’t seen Sephiroth in a fighting game before, but when Battle Royale calls upon the very best from the Sony titles, how can the bad boy of Final Fantasy VII not show up with sword in hand and flowing hair behind him? We only need to turn to Dissidia Final Fantasy to get an idea of what this maniac with a sword can do in a fighting game. This bishonen beau prefers to keep his enemies at arms length, as well as his emotions. Wait for a time to strike to piece their heart with your sword or a lengthy monologue about nature and technology.
We all know about his ultimate attack, Super Nova. Just like the original, the saddest little boss calls upon a meteor outside the ring of the galaxy, forces it with all its mother issues to careen towards Earth, blasting through planets, and finally hitting the surface of the planet after all the other players have stopped playing the game when they get too bored to sit through a three minute cut scene.

Crash Bandicoot - Crash Bandicoot series
He’s not doing anything else. I mean, come on. Crash is the guy you invite to your parties because you need that one person to run out to get more supplies. No one’s going to miss him when he’s away. But you have to include him in the fun; he used to be the mascot for Sony after all. Maybe this is more like a bad breakup where you’ve moved on, but you know Crash still keeps a piece of your hair by the bedside table even you’ve asked him about it and he completely denies it. I’ve seen it, Crash!
The bandicoot hosts a variety of moves such as spin, jumping, spin-jumping, and crying when he thinks no one is looking.

Kaz Hirai – President of Sony Corporation
The man who makes the calls at Sony should be the man who brings the pain in Battle Royal. Just think about it. Kaz flips characters for massive damage or goes screaming into battle with his typical cry, “RRRIIIIIIDDDDDGGGGGEEEE RACER!” Better yet, he calls the shots even when he’s in the game. If he feels like wiping out gravity for a round, you better get used to floating around. No lights? No blocking? No problem! Anything goes when you’re the president of one of the biggest gaming companies around and everyone you face happens to be on your bankroll. You don’t attack other characters; you fire them.
Kaz’s ultimate move would to be to simply win. He’s the boss after all.
Are there any characters you think will make the cut? Let us know in the comment section below.

lol the president of sony was a good call, i hoped they would put stan lee in MvC3 as a nod to all he's done and it would be cool if these guys did it instead, also i feel like they're gonna troll us and not put characters from final fantasy or kingdom hearts in the game for some stupid reason
bhawk12
how has no one mentioned Alucard? I mean come on, he's the star of one of the best games from the PSOne
WSxRyden
Spyro is now on multiple systems with Skylanders. That'll knock him out for sure.

Sony has an amazing pool of characters to choose from. I can say we will see Dante from Devil May Cry and quite possibly we could see Vergil in there as well. Jax is more likely going to be in the game and wouldn't be surprised to see Ratchet and Clank there. I think if I had to pick a character I would love to see in this game I would love them to pull characters from the .hack series. That series was by far one of the better series to hit the PS2 and is still popular to this day. If they want to hit a big market they will take into account this fact and add characters like Kite(ultimate attack would obviously be data drain) or Haseo(ultimate attack is to transform into his epitaph and kick some ass for a certain amount of time).
AntiFox08
Lol, these are their top five characters? What about Snake, Rikimaru, Agent .47, any Resident Evil character, Kratos, Laura Croft, Dracula, Dante, etc.?
shadows1192
well, seeing as how they dont have Spyro, Crash, or Musashi, i take it they dont want to appeal to the oldder generation of Playstation players. and come one what abouyt Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil? way to represent and leave out all the clasic character for the ones the fanboys will love, huh.
crash53456
Crash, Spyro, Sora, Jak, Ratchet.
Kfrye
They can put whoever they want in this game so long as they don't leave out Nathan Drake and Crash Bandicoot
Xvault
Alright, I may have a few here, some will be obvious of course, Nathan Drake, Nevarro from UC1 (coul d be a bunch of characters from that series really), Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Shank, Snake, Shephard, Ico, Any possible FF character, Nathan Hale from Resistance series, Chimera, Sackboy, Mod nation character, possible MK character, Rayman, possibly any marvel character, possibly any Resident evil charcater, so many more too, it's all stars after all, seriously, the sky is the limit here.
coldnetwork
Why can't Wander just turn into a colossi like at the ending of his game? Does no one remember the ending?
Laz3rViking
Has everyone abandoned Spyro the dragon?? Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon used to be the faces of Sony and Playstation! Spyro would have to be a playable character!
JohnathanK
Cloud, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Regina (Dino Crisis 1 & 2), Leon S. Kennedy, Max Payne, Laharl (Disgaea) and that's all that really comes to mind.
But I just hope there are other 3rd party characters from other companies like Nintendo, I mean come on Kratos vs. Mario or Nathan Drake vs. Link, that'd be awesome.
psychopathicninja
what ps mash up game would be complete without kratos? COME ON lol
bassclarinetplayer16@yahoo.com
I want to see Sora, and or Riku from Kingdom Hearts.... Just saying
hannibah
No one has mentioned Pyramid Head... Seriously??? He'd be awesome!
Cyborger
Sepheiroth? Besides being a pain to kill in every game he cameos in, what is the attraction to this character? He's a generic androgynous manga-equse Japanese game character.
DPsx72
I think they'd save Kaz or Butler as the final boss for single player mode. I hope they don't go that far to use another glove hand.
Darkstorm319
how about sora from kingdom hearts...it would be awesome if he was in here
The Emperor's Champion
Nathan Drake, Sackboy, Dovahkin, Crysis guy, LocoRoco, a Lair dragon, the Prince of All Cosmos (Katamari Damacy), Cole MacGrath, Sly Cooper, Amaterasu, Toan (Dark Cloud), Samanosuke Akechi (Onimusha), Megaman X, Riou (Suikoden II), Pixie (Monster Rancher), Rikimaru (Tenchu), Meis Triumph (Thousand Arms)....
Chris0246
I like the idea for the Wanderer, but instead of u protecting the colossus, its trying to hit u. It'd still be swinging here and there but mainly be swinging to where u are. So u'd still be in the fray, but u'd have to be cautious and stop attacking right b4 he hits u so u can dodge ur way out and ur opponent will be sent flying to their death. Or it can take some pressure off u, given that ur not terrible when it comes to avoiding its attacks.
