Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is the upcoming 3DS Kingdom Hearts game. In the game, Sora and Riku will be aided or hindered by Dream Eaters, creatures who either plant nightmares or eat them. Spirits are the nice ones; they eat nightmares.
Nightmares will be enemies, but Spirits can be part of your party in Kingdom Hearts 3D. Once on your team, the Spirits can aid you in combat and grant special abilities. There will be over 50 types of Spirits for you to recruit.
G4 has an exclusive first look at some of the Dream Eaters. Keep reading to meet the team. You can check out our Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Eater Photo Gallery too.
First up is Team Spirits. Spirits have a more innocent and playful look. Today we're going to get a look at Chef Kyroo, Jestabocky, Komory Bat, and Meow Wow.

Chef Kyroo - This chef won't be cooking up Frog Legs anytime soon. He's armed with a skillet and a shield. My guess is he'll be able to help upgrade your defense and possibly even help make potions!

Jestabocky - This jester often pretends to be prizes, while attempting to steal the actual prize. He can be used as a distraction, allowing you to attack an unsuspecting enemy.

Komory Bat - Square calls these bats "noctilionine nuisances." Supersonic confusion waves? Vampiric drain attack? Sounds like a Zubat to me!

Meow Wow: This Spirit is for everyone. Is it a he or she? I can't tell you. It is a cat or dog? I think it's more gerbil. I do know it's adorable and I want to squeeze it.
Next up are the Nightmares. To counter the adorable nature of Spirits, Nightmeres are darker creatures. Today we're going to get to know Char Clawbster, Escarglow, Me Me Bunny, and Peepsta Hoo.

Char Clawbster - This Dream Eater is a fire type. He's a fire-slinging, tail-spinning speed demon. Be careful, these hotheads will climb the wall one second, and then be dancing in circles around you the next.

Escarglow - These Nightmares will hide in their shells, leaving them invincible. Too many attacks, however, will cause the shell to pop off.

Me Me Bunny - Don't let this adorable rabbit's looks deceive you, it knows "bun-fu." Seriously, approach with caution, or not at all. These enemies are best attacked from afar.

Peepsta Hoo -This wise guy uses Scan to find weaknesses and attacks accordingly. But completing the Scan takes time...Isn't that a weakness, too?
There you have it, eight new Dream Eaters from Kingdom Hearts 3D. You'll be able to play against, or play with, these creatures on July 31 when Kingdom Hearts 3D is released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
