Kickstarter has delivered yet another video game success story, this time thanks to the efforts of Replay Games in bringing back Leisure Suit Larry creator Al Lowe to deliver an HD remake of the Sierra classic. The game's development is being handled by Adventure Mob, an Israel-based studio, with Lowe serving as a top-level advisor/creative director.
At the time of this writing, the project stands at $518,358 pledged by 11,622 backers with six days remaining before everything wraps up. It's looking like the plan is to launch this thing in October 2012, a full year after it was first revealed, though there's no mention yet of confirmed platforms. Who cares though? Leisure Suit Larry is set for his high-def return! Congrats to Lowe and the teams at Replay and Adventure Mob on pulling this off.
