Mass Effect 3 N7 Bounty Weekends Continue With Operation Exorcist

BioWare will keep its promise of relegating its N7 Bounty Weekends for Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode to "every other week" status when Operation Exorcist kicks off this Friday, April 27, 2012 at 6pm PST. The challenge will conclude on Monday, April 30, at 5am PST.

Mass Effect 3's Operation Exorcist may well be the toughest challenge fans have faced yet. The Allied Goal for the weekend is to bring down 1,000,000 Cerberus Phantoms, the barrier-protected, sword-wielding elite of the game's human enemy faction. The Squad Goal is a real bear though: take on any enemy on the game's Gold difficulty setting and survive until extraction. As anyone who's played gold can attest, that ain't so easy.

If you're going to go for the Squad goal, I would personally recommend using Cerberus as your enemy and setting the map to Firebase White. Keep your squad close to the landing pad spawn area, with two positioned against the wall to the right of the pad and two more just outside the hallway leading into the map's indoor structure. Those two can then fall back to support the others when things get too hectic.

Make sure you've got at least one Infiltrator in your group, since Tactical Cloak can make a difference when it comes to nabbing control points during objective rounds. Also bring at least one Adept or some other class with the Stasis ability; it's a great way to freeze up the fast-moving Phantoms long enough for you to concentrate fire and bring them down. Just be aware that you can only freeze each one a couple of times before they become immune.

As usual, the N7 Bounty Weekend applies only to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. Still no PlayStation 3, unfortunately. Also, make sure you've got "Upload Gameplay Feedback" set to on in the game's online options menu. Good luck!

I participated in the weekend on PS3 and completed the squad goal. I received the N7 Eagle. Bad reporting G4 but I am not surprised.

So I was just corrected. I guess sonny lacks the competence to work with a third party developer. Dint they claim to be a computer gaming system?

Too few maps... i already stopped playing the Multiplayer.... it was fun for a while. Salarian inflitrator with max out Energy Drain and Tactical Cloak and get the ability to use a special power while cloaked and you can drain allot of barrier power from an inflitrator then follow it up with a headshot with a good sniper round... POOF!

Maxed out Human Vanguards are good for Phantoms too. Charge, Nova, Heavy Melee. Then shoot if there's anything left, just make sure she's in the middle of blocking or attacking someone else when you charge.

Good tactic we had for Gold. Cerberus on Ghost in the corner by the survivors in the Story. Two Asari Adepts and either two infiltrators, or an Inf. and an Engineer. At least one Salarian and maybe a Quarian (must be infiltrator). One sniper aiming toward the extraction, with a friend keeping an eye on the ladder, the other two across from the staircase.

2 infiltrators, 1 engineer, 1 justicar adept. It's the perfect setup for gold. And make sure it's Geth. Engineer creates decoy in the justicar's barrier. Enemies become sabatoged in barrier. Explosions because of the barrier. And the decoy keeps non sabatoged enemies busy. Any healing is done by infiltrators and the 4 hacking devices are done by infiltrators why the rest keep them busy. Perfect setup and works 99% of the time. Sometimes you get an idiot who messes it up.

A good way to run Gold is with Geth and a team of 4 infiltrators who have sabotage, easy to move for the objectives as a team everyone just goes invis and moves as a group, easy to get around and help if someone goes down, plenty of help shooting when you sabotage everything. Always good to have a few decent snipers on your team tho. Just an idea for you guys to try, works for me!

I would like to see a double credits weekend. Just imagine how many credits you would get after a successful Gold match, 200,000+.

I think it has got nothing to do with 'exclusivity contracts', the issue is on the PS end as mentioned by Bioware.

Hate the fact that they are alienating the PS3 owners. Why the @#$% did they release a game on a platform that they do not intend to support? Damn those exclusivity contracts.
