Ravaged Kickstarted: Post Nuclear Annihilation Shooter Coming

Posted April 23, 2012 - By Stephen Johnson

Kickstarter is rapidly becoming the home of gaming niches, from nostalgia trips to the hardcore. 2Dawn Games Ravaged is squarely in the latter camp, and it just got funded.

Ravaged is a post-apocalyptic vehicular first-person shooter described as "Mad Max meets Battlefield" where a group of resistance soldiers fight for humanity while scavengers look to control it. Up to 64 players can play in a single match, and the game features over 30 vehicles and weapons, amazing post-apocalyptic maps and 10 classes. The Kickstarter promises that while the game is crazy fun, vehicles take actual skill to drive (what a concept!), and games take teamwork to win.

As you can see from the video under the "Read More" tag, Ravaged is in a close-to-finished state. The extra kick of $23k (and counting) is for marketing, testing and polishing up work rather than from-scratch development. The team behind the game has promised that the more money they get, the more new and cool stuff they'll add, including possible Mac and Linux support.

Check out the FAQ for more on Ravaged.
