How can you not understand, this shows in what range your pc must be to run this game smooth on high or very high, i7 3930K 6 Core,FX8150 8 Core x 3.6 GHZ ,Radeon HD 7970 3GB VRAM are the best components it can support, so even if you have I7 960,2600K, and AMD 6970 2GB, OR GTX 570,GTX580 or lower, probably with way lower it should run smoothly. 4-6 gb of ram will probably be enough, i think Rockstar learned its lesson from GTA 4 cause that optimization was horrible....

At last! I finally have myself a challenge!

they mean it works fine with stuff "within range" of the specified upper and lower limits.

2GB-16GB? Yeah, you don't see a lot of games that demanding that it needs 16GB of RAM to play its fullest and I doubt that it's recommended to have an i7 processor. Most games nowadays don't push the PC capabilities, because they still want it playable enough on 6-7 year old consoles and I don't see Max Payne 3 to be different. I think Rockstar exaggerated on the requirements of this game.

these requirements make no sense. intel core duo - i7...Wtf, is that some sort of range or minnium/recommended. beside if this game recommended is an i7 then i will be craking the 640 x 480 resoulation. no way my computer can handle that.

Are these the minimum or recommended requirements? Another thing that's causing confusion is the RAM: 2GB-16GB. Does that mean that 2GB is the minimum, and that it will support up to 16GB, which multiplatform titles on the PC don't usually do. For example, Skyrim when launched only really utilized 2GB of ram, so the recommended RAM for Skyrim was 4GB, but the minimum was 2GB.
