Deadlight, the summer 2012 Xbox Live Arcade release from Tequila Works, is looking mighty pretty, as a newly released gameplay trailer reveals. The post-apocalyptic survival game drops players into the 1986 aftermath of a zombie takeover, with the goal being to survive, solve puzzles, and axe an undead shambler or two in the head along the way.
As you can see in the new trailer, Deadlight's basic gameplay has a lot in common with Chair's XBLA "Metroidvania" title, Shadow Complex. You're running, jumping, climbing, and fighting in a 2D space filled with living 3D photorealistic backgrounds. You can get a better sense of how the game plays and what sets it apart in our recent Deadlight hands-on preview.
