Apple is being sued over how they deal with in-app microtransactions. A group of concerned parents are leading the lawsuit. They feel like Apple hasn't taken enough precautions to make sure in-game transactions aren't misused.
The lawsuit charges it is very easy to make in-app purchases, so easy in fact, that that children are running up huge bills.
Apple requested the suit be dismissed since they recently added a feature that allows parents to disable in-app transactions. A judge denied their request. Apple has not commented on the suit.
We saw a similar situation happen a few years ago when kids were going crazy, buying carrots in FarmVille. On one hand I can see parents concerns, but at the same time, I like the convenience of having instant content. What do you think?
