The James Bond film franchise celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012 and Activision is getting in on the celebration with the just-announced Eurocom-developed first-person shooter, 007 Legends. Releasing in connection with the latest Bond film, Skyfall (out November 9), Legends tells a story that ties together six of the classic Bond films. The press release doesn't say anything about which ones, or if the story will ultimately link up with the events of Skyfall.
Eurocom also developed the 2010 Wii game GoldenEye 007: Reloaded and a remastered version for 2011 that came to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Unsurprisingly, the developer's MI6 Ops Missions mode will also be returning in Legends, with the added bonus this time of being able to play as various Bond allies and enemies. There's no release date announced yet, but expect to see the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game arrive sometime around the movie's fall 2012 release.
