The Witcher 2 Xbox 360 vs. PC comparison video offers you a side by side comparison between the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition and the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
We set the video settings on the PC to the highest, which is on 'Ultra Specs' and we did not change the levels on brightness or gamma. On the Xbox 360, we installed the game and ran it on 1080p with the default brightness/gamma levels. Take it from me, there were no alterations to make one look better than the other one. See for yourself the differences and similarities between the two platforms and leave a comment below letting us know which platform you think looks better.

I don't get why people keep complaining . Of course the PC will look better, But most people can't play this amazing franchise on the PC and many more people have a console. Don't you just want an amazing game to reach as many people as it can so they can keep making the games. I own the PC version and can just barely chug through it on low setting and am great full they are making it for the Xbox even at a little loss of graphical power. Just my $0.02

I think the missing grass in the PS3 version of Mafia 2, as RPG-fan pointed out, puts all the "perspective on it " that's required

The 360 is missing so many lighting effects it's not even funny. I wonder if the possible PS3 version will include these lighting effects or not. It would put some perspective on the hardware differences between the home consoles if it did.

oh god not another comparison video

The problem with viewing the PC version is that we are doing it on here. Some monitors have a resolution better than Hi def for TV. Regardless, does it matter if you like playing games on the XBOX then get it on the XBOX. If you like PC Games get it on the PC. If you are mixed and dont care - get it where its cheaper!

The 360 version, to me, looks like it has a more fantasy look to it, while the PC version has a more realistic look to it. The meshes and textures on the 360 version aren't too bad from the pc version, I thought they were going to be a little worse than they are. Overall, both look good, but PC will always win over consoles.

Console version is better. Why are we even comparing with a dead system. Just label this one a 360 exclusive and don't bother with these unless there is a ps3 version to compare it to.

They both have moments where they appear to be better than the other, however the PC has a more vibrant pallet, so I have to say PC, but because my computer can barely play Minecraft in HD I'm getting it for the 360

I thought we already had this conversation with Skyrim? Of course its going to look better on PC. Quit stirring the pot, G4.

PC WINS HERPA DERP. PC>>>>XBOX DERP! Uhh i believe this video was made just to see how much people would argue. I don't care either way. Just play the damn game how ever you want. That being said PS3 sucks.

Im sorry, but framerate issues, textures bearly matching the medium which is a full 3 graphic levels from our max (high, very high, ultra), much smaller draw distance, an even worse color pallet, subpar shadows and just low reflective surfaces make it much worse than A PC.
Now this doesnt mean its not an amazing port, which it is. But it plays better, looks better and sounds better on a PC. We have more graphic options, more control options (including both a PS3 and 360 controller plug in play) and mods. We have resolution options and arnt stuck with nonscalling graphics (we also get AA) and they didnt have to cut non vital npc's from our world just to make it work.

Seems like I had this conversation last night.
A modern PC will always win over 7 year old tech.
But here is the conclusion of the technical analysis.

"Many believed that a worthwhile console conversion of this game would be impossible, but it's somehow fitting that the RED Engine's debut on Xbox 360 is in many ways even more astonishing than it was on PC. While there are some understandable downgrades, the overall look is extremely close - the insane level of detail in both surroundings and characters, the immense sense of scale in the richly defined, beautifully animated environments, the vast array of post-processing effects and atmospheric rendering techniques - in every way that matters, the 360 game delivers.
In summary then, it's clear that The Witcher 2 has the performance to match the spectacle. This may well be a PC conversion, but the level of technical accomplishment we see here is more in line with what we'd expect from a top-tier first-party studio designing a game directly for the strengths of the host console hardware.
Compare and contrast with a comparable technology - such as Anvil, the Assassin's Creed engine, which has gradually evolved across four games thus far. On its first attempt, CD Projekt RED has bested it in virtually every way, from characters to environment detail to lighting to effects work - and it runs more smoothly to boot. Combine what is a landmark technological achievement with an intriguing story, enormous amounts of depth and a fun combat system and we have the complete package, well worth its Eurogamer 9/10 review score.
