UPDATE: Halo 4 is officially coming on November 6, 2012, a Microsoft press release just confirmed. The story that kicks off in the coming game will set the stage for the next decade of Halo's adventures in transmedia. Microsoft promises more info to come on tonight's April 17th episode of the TBS late-night series Conan, hosted by Conan O'Brien.
ORIGINAL POST: Recent tweets from Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb and 343 Industries senior producer Alison Stroll suggest that "Team Coco" will have some big Halo 4 news to share with us sometime before April 17, 2012 comes to a close this evening. There's been no comment from the Conan O'Brien side, though the @TeamCoco Twitter feed DID re-tweet Major Nelson's update.
Meanwhile, a newly unearthed rumor points to November 6, 2012 as the official release date for Halo 4, based on what "reliable sources close to Microsoft" told Polygon. Are these two things connected or is this all just a timely confluence of news teases and rumors? We'll know very soon, and we'll be sure to keep you updated right here on The Feed.

I will admit Im one of the 5000-10000 or so players that still gets on halo 3 a few nights out of the week and I would do the same for halo 2 if the servers were still up. April 15th 2010 was one of the saddest days I have experienced. That being said cant wait for Halo 4 and I hope 343 lives up to all they hype. :)

I hate the CoD bashing comments people tend to throw around these days, but Im a little worried that 343 is looking at Call of Duty for some of the new changes. Like co-op only levels called Spartan-Ops. Which Halo shouldnt need because Its allready got its four player co-op campain. Or gameplay unlockables that you get while playing. Halo has allways been a game of perpetual fairness across all games, and yet they've found places to expand in terms of the theater mode and forge. Don't get me wrong, I like CoD, but Halo is a hole different ball park.

I'm optimistic about it, but I have one request: Please, 343 for the love of all Forerunners..... DON'T show Master chief's true identity. The mystery in our minds is so much better then anything you can create.

I'll be honest,every video game is going to be different but with the same characters,but Halo is just the same as usual ,this game is good but so over hyped ,any video game is over hyped but not as much Halo is,the challenges on Halo may be worth buying Halo 4,the reason why I don't care about Halo is because it's an exclusive on Micro Soft's X-Box 360,I think Bungie should be allowed to cross plat form Halo to other consoles and be owned by Micro Soft period.

People im srry to say but I have only played the first halo on the originall Xbox. and I want everyone to forgive my sins of not playing the others. (when I did play Halo I LOVED IT) So please can some of you great people get me caught up on what has happened?

I have been a fan of halo since halo 2. I believe Halo 3 was the best game...well ever; it kept you having fun for hours on end. Halo Reach didnt have the "flavor" that halo 3 had and I dont really know why. But if thif halo 4 keeps the concepts of halo 3 and people just go back to just having fun on live, this well be a great game
