Space Quest Creators Form New Studio, Plan New Spaceventure

Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe (aka "The Two Guys from Andromeda"), creators of Sierra Entertainment's Space Quest adventure game series, have partnered back up on a new studio venture aimed developing a new "Space Adventure" (or "Spaceventure"!). They've returned from their "brief 25+ year hiatus" with a new website and plans that they're not talking in specifics about yet.

Interestingly, there isn't any mention of a Kickstarter initiative. You probably don't need a refresher on the many crowd-sourced game funding efforts that have popped up in the wake of Double Fine Adventure's success. There's still time for Guys from Andromeda to follow Al Lowe and Leisure Suit Larry down that road. It'll be interesting to see if any publishers step up to shepherd this one, in light of recent Kickstarter successes.

You can keep up with the progress of what will hopefully be an epic Spaceventure on the Guys from Androma website, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
