Word around Hollywood is Electronic Arts is shopping a Need For Speed treatment around town, hoping to entice film-makers to create a Need for Speed movie. Wouldn't that be... something?
Variety reports that EA has hired John Gatins, writer of Real Steel, to develop a pitch for a movie based on Need for Speed. The idea is to make something like The Fast and the Furious out of the game franchise.
Warner Bros., Sony and Paramount are all said to be interested with Paramount being the frontrunner.
I'm no Hollywood development executive, but if it was my movie, I'd make sure it starred Christine Hendricks (pictured above, in the game) and I'd make sure the cars were very, very shiny. Also: Things would blow up. A lot of things.
(Can I have a million dollars, please?)

I really liked Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. All the others were not to my liking. And WTF was with the Cartoony Drivers in 2?
Anyway Sure EA, I'll but your script and rights to make a bad movie out of this game. I'll bid 10 bucks. And there is a clause that says I can just not make the movie since it'll be as stupid as Max Payne anyway.

Since Mr. Transformers single handedly threw the Need For Speed series back into the gutter after the comeback of the century with Hot Pursuit, throw it into his lap and tell him to fix it.

Dear (insert chosen deity here), why?

They already came out with a Need For speed movie...
It was called Fast and Furious. They even made five of them with one out in Tokyo.
