Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken Series Director took the stage at Namco Bandai Gamer's Day to reveal some Tekken Tag Tournament 2 details. He arrived to the event via Tekken Lamborghini -- pictures to come later -- with two scantily clad ladies on his arms. "Usually Ono-san (Street Fighter producer) comes and crashes these events, but I asked security to keep him out," he said as he addressed the audience. "I'm going to tell you all about Ono's deviant practices, and his home life. Which will take about two hours," he continued.
But he lied, instead he talked about Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and introduced some new features. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will feature 1 vs. 2 match formats, which is brand new for the game. It'll also feature 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 battles, a new Brazilian location, and Fight Lab. Fight Lab will teach new players how to play the game and let experienced players customize their combos.
Additionally, there will be new characters in the game, 44 in the arcade version and even more for the consoles, "Probably even more than you might imagine," Harada said. He continued, "So much in fact that Itagaki from the Dead or Alive series said, 'That's a bit too much, isn't it?' I told him to shut up since his game is taking three years already." Ha!
After announcing the characters and telling the audience he had more surprises in store, Harada said, "Since I drank so much, I really want to go to the restroom. So, goodbye." And away he went. We'll get more details on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 at E3 2012, but until then, what do you think of the new details?
