Star Trek Combat Detailed At Namco Bandai Gamer's Day

At Namco Bandai Gamer's Day, Brian Miller, Game Producer and Senior Vice President from Paramount Pictures Games revealed a few more details about the upcoming Star Trek game. Marianne Krawczyk, the writer of God Of War, will be penning Star Trek as well. The game was played in front of a huge audience at Gamer's Day, and our man on the floor confirms that it's looking polished, especially in 3D.

As for your weapons, you'll be able to level up your phaser. There's a little bar that fills up under your phaser meter, and when you fill it up you'll get access to new abilities. Kirk's phaser originally has a "stun" setting that can be upgraded to a a "vaporize" setting and Spock's phaser has a "stasis" setting that can be upgraded to "Autofire."

Kirk will also be equipped with a Federation Rifle with a high fire rate and Spock will be able to mindmeld his enemies, forcing them to fight on his side and provide cover. Many of the weapons will have co-op modes, and hopefully we'll get more details on those soon.
