Would you kick the woman above out of your convention for being too sexy? This is reportedly what happened over the weekend at PAX East 2012, when Lollipop Chainsaw spokes-model Jessica Nigri was asked to leave the show floor until she changed out of a revealing outfit.
- GALLERY: Cosplay Pictures From Pax East 2012
The outfit in question is below the "Read More" tag, courtesy of Lollipop Chainsaw creator Suda51's Twitter feed.
The costume change wasn't enough, apparently. After she changed back to her regular Juliet Starling clothes (shown above) she was asked to either change again, or leave the show entirely. Bye, Bye, Juliet.
Nigri wasn't the only scantily clad PAX-goer who was asked to cover up. Comedian Keith Apicary -- aka Nathan Barnatt -- took the stage during Rooster Teeth's panel, disrobed, and danced around for a bit, much to the confusion of everyone on earth. There's a picture below, and if you really, really want to, you can look at the video on YouTube, or even see the aftermath of him being kicked out of the show by the actual police.

My question: Is this good "moderating" by the PAX powers-that-be, or is everyone's Pax experience made a bit more magical by exhibitionists of various stripes strutting their stuff? I have mixed feelings: I guess if fans like Apicary want to be extra wacky and take off their pants, I think "Yeah! I love freakishness! Let the guy be!" but when it's a transparent plan to garner attention, and PAX has made its anti-booth-babe policy well known, I support kicking people out.

Don't get me wrong; I love boothbabes, but PAX has a clear policy of not supporting 'em. So you gotta respect the rules... of course, the first rule of PAX is "Don't do anything stupid," and it could be argued that crashing a panel and taking off your clothes is really, really stupid.
All of the best people are following Stephen Johnson's twitter feed. Also, email me if you wanna.

Those mammaries are the Trojan horse standing at the gates of our nerd event. With those boobs come tons of corporate interests that want nothing more than to take the spotlight away from the independent folk. As everyone who went said, there were plenty of walking fertility symbols there who were NOT paid to stand around the drooling geeks. Let's support them if they don't want to wear clothes, unless it becomes detrimental to the objection of the convention.

Shearing off the heads of zombies with a chainsaw= OKiekosher
Doing it in a bikini= wrong ... for some reason?
Typical hypocritical, puritan BS.

It's important to point out that one of the reasons they do not allow scantily clad outfits is because PAX is an all ages event. The same reason you are not allowed to "drink" or do drugs at PAX as well.

There were a lot scantily clad people at PAX. Seems like the only ones kicked out were the sexy ones. Bummer.

She isn't showing her nipples so I don't see whats the big deal. Because of a little bit of cleavage they kick her? That's not cool. Granted PAX is supposed to be about the games not the cosplay, but considering how many boothbabes are used it seems kind of hypocritical to allow some but not others.

I think she looks fantastic.

It's fine to have a anti-booth babe policy and all but my question is how did she get in? Another thing, I doubt she was the only scantily clad lady walking the floor of PAX east either so why not kick them out too, or if she would have said she was a cosplayer it would have been fine?
It maybe time to revisit some of the rules of PAX.
