Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter Hits Goal In One Day

It's been a whirlwind start for Shadowrun creator Jordan Weisman's Kickstarter-funded Shadowrun Returns game, with the $400,000 goal reached in just 28 hours. There are 22 days left to go for the campaign -- it ends on April 29, 2012 -- so anyone who steps up as a backer at this point is essentially paying for a guaranteed pre-order.

Weisman is working on the game with his studio Harebrained Schemes, the same crew behind the Crimson: Steam Pirates mobile game. In his latest update, Weisman writes that Mac support will be added to the release plans if the funding reaches $425,000. With 12,299 backers at the time of this writing, the total amount of cash pledged so far comes to $553,914. You've got your Mac version, folks. Weisman also mentions the possibility of adding additional language support and a wider range of features in his second video.
