Fable Heroes

The universe laid out in Lionhead Studios' Fable series of RPGs is about to be colored out in more detail thanks to a new partnership with the Random House Publishing Group and Prima Games, a press release confirms. The deal covers a variety of books and digital shorts, all meant to capitalize on 2012's Fable Heroes and Fable: The Journey releases.

Under the terms of the deal, fans can look forward to getting two novels, "multiple" digital shorts, a world bible, and a strategy guide. The first novel, Fable: At the Edge of the World by Christie Golden, is coming in August 2012. The story is meant to bridge the story between Fable 3 and Fable: The Journey. There are also three confirmed digital shorts planned: Fable: Reaver and Fable: Jack of Blades in May and Fable: Theresa in June.

It sounds like the aforementioned "bible" won't be getting a public release, however. Random House Worlds, the publisher's IP creation and development division, will create a document for internal use that creators will use as a reference for the world of Fable.
