Final Fantasy characters will be showcasing Prada's 2012 men's collection. For the record, I never, ever, thought I'd write that last sentence in a million years. Nevertheless, it's true. Square Enix has come together with Prada to show off Prada's new Spring/Summer men's collection as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Final Fantasy series. Hopefully no Moogles were harmed in the making of these clothes!
“The Final Fantasy series is known for its creativity and innovation; so working with Prada, a renowned fashion house with such beautiful clothingwas a very exciting opportunity. The images we have been able to create together are vibrant and unique,” said Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Final Fantasy 13-2.
Only characters from Final Fantasy 13-2 will be featured, including Noel, Sazh, Hope, and female lead, Lightning. I'm not sure why they chose to go with Lightning instead of you know, a major guy in the game like Snow, but this announcement is weird enough that I think it's better to just not ask any questions.

It's VERY weird to see Final Fantasy characters in more modern apparel. I'm not quite sure what to make of this. And I agree about Lightning. Why use a female to showcase the MEN'S collection of a clothing line? Doesn't seem like a smart idea to me. Then again, this whole thing might not have been either. But that's just me.

I think this is great. Depending on the product, and characters advertising them, I would like to see more.

Seeing Sazh Katzroy dressed like that only makes me furious at how retarded Tetsuya Nomura was; he is a terrible character designer.

Not gonna hate, this is a great concept. It branches the different forms of media, it bring life to the characters and it brings more characters to the clothing. Really cool. win Squared... (do you see what I did there)

As a true FF fan i think its great that square is expanding in this way. Dont think of it as a tragedy thing of it as square trying to get more people to buy their games by becoming more popular.

I don't know how to feel about this. my geeky/nerd side says this is weird and kinda lame. But the other side says this is a cool concept. I haven't played FF in ages so I can't complain so I will accept it for now. LOL

I like it; I think Sazh looks the best in terms of style, but the rest of it is still really nice. And honestly, could you see Snow wearing Prada; at least these guys (and gal...lol Lightning) can pull it off.
