Amazon Prime Instant Video Now Available On The PlayStation 3

Amazon Prime Instant Video is now available on the PlayStation 3. Prime Instant Video is Amazon's streaming video service that's bundled in to a $79 Amazon Prime membership. The service includes over 17,000 titles, including popular shows and movies like Sons of Anarchy, Downton Abbey, Lost, Glee, 24, Deadliest Catch, SpongeBob SquarePants, Office Space, The Graduate, The Last Emperor, The Thin Red Line, The Last of the Mohicans, and Brokeback Mountain.

If you're already an Amazon Prime member all you've got to do is register your PlayStation 3 and you can start watching all the shows right now. "But I already have Netflix on my PS3!" you may be saying, and while that's a valid point, Amazon Prime also gives you the option to rent or buy more than 120,000 videos, including new releases, straight from your PS3.

I've said several times that I use my PS3 as a Netflix device as well as a video game console, but as an Amazon Prime member I'm curious to see which service I like better and I'll definitely give it a try tonight. Anyone want to watch Downton Abbey with me? ...Anyone?

If you have both Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video on your PS3, which service do you prefer?
