BioShock creator and all-around gaming legend Ken Levine is being considered for inclusion on Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world issue. The list asks internet users to vote for the "leaders, artists, innovators, icons and heroes" that you think are the most influential people in the world.
Official voting ends on Friday, April 6, and the poll winner will be included in the Time 100 issue. The complete Time 100 list will be chosen by our editors and revealed on TIME.com on Tuesday, April 17. Here's Ken Levine's page. Go there and vote for him, if you are so inclined.
As you can see from the full Time 100 list, Levine joins Stephen Johnson approved influencers like Aziz Ansari, Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen, Louis C.K. and Anonymous. You can check out the vote's progress right here.
How do you think Levine stacks up against the rest of the list? Is Levine's influence greater than, say, Beyonce's?

He's not the first person involved with the video game industry to be on this list, I think... I seem to remember Kojima and Miyamoto both being on there at some point.

You should really work on your titles. Maybe something like, "Ken Levine Nominated for Time's Top 100 List." The current title implies that he's already made the list, which just isn't true.
It's like if I wrote an article now saying "Barack Obama Elected President in 2012." It's a deceptive title.

He's second overall in the entire list! That's awesome. The only person higher than him is Ron Paul.

good for him. :)

Isn't this basically like the Smithsonian thing, having a popularity contest?

I'm all for Ken Levine, I feel amongst the gaming world he has had a huge influence. That being said, Anonymous? Really? A bunch of wannabe hackers who think they are helping the world by stealing credit card information and selling it? Come on Time magazine, I thought you were better then that.
