Three special editions of Assassin's Creed 3 will be available for purchase when the game is released in October... at least in Europe. Each of the three editions features different in-game items, multiplayer characters, and missions as well as props, special art books and all kinds of other cool junk -- including "George Washington's Notebook." Sadly, there's no edition that contains all of the content.
The full content of each of the special editions is under the "Read More" tag.

This better release in America as well. I'd lay down $150 for an edition that contained all the content. Please Ubisoft give the lazy, spoiled Americans our own special version too.

i personally think this is bull, i dint care before since all the other AC games took place in or near Europe but this one is in the US so we should get the better editions.

I think it's stupid that people in he US and such can't preorder these. I'm in Ontario canada and would kill to preorder a special edition, yet I can't.

The medallion looks amazing, I am definitley laying down more on this game than any other in the series

I very much hope that they release the Dangerous secret singleplayer mission as dlc, or at least uplay. I really want a flintlock musket, but also really want the contents that come with the freedom. This is all assuming that they come to america of course. If the missions come and one special edition (hopefully the freedom) then i am set.

They will most likely release at least the join or die edition in america, people would get very angry. They just want to give the EU more options, since many people living in the UK have mixed feelings about killing fellow british.

Oh stop moaning Americans. This is one game to be released in Europe that has a good sepcial order bonus, the US constantly gets better special order bonuses and games released weeks before it is in Europe.
I'm happy that for once we get a good bonus and think I'll be getting freedom edition :)
hotmyers17
are they at least making the 2 in game missions a pre-order bonus for specific stores? b/c the mayan ruins missions seem really awesome

Ubisoft has always done this though. One Special Edition for the states, and like 3-4 for Europe. Check out the Assassins Creed Wiki and they can break it down. And like Stephen said, there is no definitive edition that contains ALL the content of the others.......... Marketing! Yay............../end sarcasm

must have the Freedom and Join or Die editions... MUST. I'm sure it'll be released all together... in the US.. if there is a God..

Why dose Europe get it, i mean it would be understandable if it came out in Europe then America or any other Country that sells. Now this is just making me mad that the fact that Americans get to get a video game that's actually cool that involves America and we don't get it first... not that i have anything wrong with Europe I'm actually Half Native American and European, but this is bull.

Price will determine if it's worth it I think!

sad to say i will probably go for freedom. but only in EMEA countries? as a canadian i'm not too thrilled about that. i can only speculate (and hope) that this is just to create hype, and North America will have their own special editions. this game is spearheaded in Quebec, so to not give us something is kind of a slap.

What ever happened to the simplicity of one regular edition, and one special edition that contained everything?
kinlopunim
why would they only be announced for europe? i get that the whole special editions previously have been for europe not north america, but that was when the game was set in european history. this is american history, the time when we fought back against a king and earned our freedom. denying these special editions to americans is just wrong. besides i want that george washington diary :D
BONERJAM
The Lost Mayan Ruins mission sounds interesting but not interesting enough for a Freedom Edition purchase, $60 is high enough for me and even that is getting to steep.
GANESH5992
i want the special edition...for now...hopefully they release all the exclusive missions as dlc after launch...then again the freedom one has a figurine & cole macgrath is rather lonley on my bookshelf
jacobpearlz
join or die... but i also want the mission from the special edition... "ZSJF ase;hgf
