Robert Bowling, Former Creative Strategist of Call of Duty and Infinity Ward, has resigned. Moments ago, Bowling tweeted the following:
"Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision."
Infinity Ward has tweeted a response, saying:
"We wish Robert all the best. Thanks for everything. For continued MW updates & all things IW follow @infinityward."
We don't have any details as of yet, but as soon as I hear anything, I'll let you know. In the meantime, check out Bowling on Feedback, under the "Read More" tag.

Never liked him.

Bowling is responsible for not changing the story and certain parts of the game, but the connection, the dlc, and people's 1 or below k/d isn't his fault. All he did was make a game, albeit faulty. But all these threats on his life and his since of worth, are plain idiotic. He had to deal with all of you pieces of trash that want an amazingly unique game annually, without any problems. He listened to thousands of people telling him that they would kill all of his loved ones because he thought lag compensation would help someone without good connection. So, for you people like Russian Roulett3, if you want all of your problems fixed in the blink of an eye, tell the community how to do it. But until then, shut the hell up!

Maybe he was tired of putting his name next to a crap product. Go back and fix these issues other franchises addressed years ago.

Good riddance, you piece of trash. Now, take the lag compensation from MW3 with you.
