Robert Bowling, Former Creative Strategist of Call of Duty and Infinity Ward, has resigned. Moments ago, Bowling tweeted the following:
"Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision."
Infinity Ward has tweeted a response, saying:
"We wish Robert all the best. Thanks for everything. For continued MW updates & all things IW follow @infinityward."
We don't have any details as of yet, but as soon as I hear anything, I'll let you know. In the meantime, check out Bowling on Feedback, under the "Read More" tag.

Honestly he probably resigned because he got sick and tired of all of the cod obsessed fans who want an utterly perfect game when half the community willfully cheats..not gonna happen. It's called a video GAME for a reason not video LIFE, they are to be enjoyed and i'll bet dealing with all of you CoD kids and nutjobs wasn't worth the massive paychecks he got. Seriously you kids need to grow up...

Kind of surprised to hear this. Robert always seemed very passionate about working on the Modern Warfare series. But perhaps he has become tired of the series (just as I have). It should be interesting to see what he does next: Does he go to Respawn? Or, does he go on to something new entirely?

the lag is not a problem. the problem is the freaking campers and the spamming of rpg's, noob-tubes etc. i hope since he was in such a high position in the making of cod he realized that and is making an effort to fix it.
also, i think it's a good idea. the cod franchise is suffering because their fans are expecting them to make a new one every year, yet their games are good enough to play for several. i hope he decides to branch off and start the next cod rival. honestly, if they hadn't of made cod black ops and waited 2 years to release cod mw3 it would have been better. black ops sucked compared to mw1,2,and 3 (i guess i really dont like trey arch...actually i dont!) and i hope Bowing recognizes that and is going to make something AMAZING! nonetheless Bowing, you have a great reputation under your belt and a great fan following, so i'm sure you're going to do something great :-) good luck with your future, and make us gamers happier!!!!

I don't know or care about the guy, just as long as it hurts Activision or CoD. These things need to go away as fast as possible and take all their poser-gamers with them to the dump.
