Feedback's Question Of The Week

Feedback needs you...to ask us your questions. Each week we cover several topics, all relevant to your interests. Next week we'll be talking about Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two . We'll also talk about games based on history, like  Assassin's Creed 3, plus other topics I haven't picked yet. Have a question about those two games? Heck, have a question about anything at all? Ask away!

What do you think about the MW3 Blackout movement? Do these types of protest really get the attention of the publishers or is it a waste of time?

For the record; I loved Epic Mickey just the way it is. I know the camera wasn't great; but I had bad cameras before, and didn't think that one was that bad. I got the whole silent movie idea, but I can see how a younger audience won't. Still looking for to EM2, though. Can't wait play. I love the idea of a music game. Sound totally new.

And yes; Anastasia is not a Disney movie. It was from Don Bluth; former Disney animator and creator of the Don Bluth Studios. It was made for 20th Century Fox/Fox Animation Studios. So Nikole was right.

Hello everyone my question is, if you do play Jrpgs do you think they are dead? will we ever see a Jrpg to come out here in the states and do as well as one of the CoD games or do yo think that will never happen in these times of casual games and Fps crazy fan boys?

With all the bustle about next gen consoles and the rumors they may be looking at NOT supporting used games on top of things like: online passes, the need to be constantly linked online in order to play and diminishing support for older games (dlc/online support/playback functionality).

Do you guys believe us gamers will ever stand up and fight back? Should we be fighting back and what do you think it would take to get the attention of these game companies?

The future of gaming looks grim. Are we to the point of having constant online tracking and not being able to play used games on consoles anymore? Maybe that's why all games seem to use a post apocalyptic backdrop for the setting.

Capcom recently announced that Resident Evil will not be survival-horror or at the very least will only have trace amounts of survival-horror gameplay because there isn't a large enough survival-horror game market. If it's fun I will play it anyway, but I disagree. I think this is the opposite of what they should do because a small market would mean less competition, like how Super Mario Galaxy was successful because of a small platformer market. 1- Do you also think this is a bad strategy for Capcom? 2- Are you grateful that Capcom was honest unlike when Nintendo said they didn't forget about hardcore gamers after the wii came out?

DLC seems like a strategy to squeeze out more and more money by taking away what was so basic in games a few years back. Asura's wrath ending will be sold as a DLC content. Bioware is creating an ending again for Mass Effect 3. What precedence will this set for the future for gamers and gaming industry as a whole.

After playing Street Fighter X Tekken, I feel that the Street Fighter franchise is starting to get stale. From the Street Fighter 2 days, the franchise hasn't really branched out from the arcade setting and noticed they focus on the competitive aspect of the game instead of making the game fun for everyone. Do you think this copy and paste formula that Capcom has given these games will doom the franchise on the future?

How do you know weather or not to pre-order a game, and what can game companies do to make pre-ordering worth while without alienating people who don't pre-order? There are so many times that I have been disappointed in either the game or the 'bonus' after pre-ordering. I understand that game companies need the sales revenue from pre-orders, but how can this be made beneficial for both parties?

    Hey Team,

There seems to be a notable trend in both movies and gaming and it is the dreaded reboot. Sometimes this works out well with such games as SSX and Twisted Metal, but other times we are left wanting more. What older generation games would you enjoy taking on the reboot title and how would they be changed for modern gaming (ex. jumping into 3D)?

    Cheers,
    Matt

P.s. Would Stephen Johnson recite my question as Paul Giamotti. Thanks again.

If video games are ever going to be accepted as art or at least have the validation of presenting artistic expression then how are we as the consumers in the right to demand that the ending of Mass Effect 3 should in actuality be changed since it was done in the way the development team had envisioned it. Where is the line between being an artistic medium and an adaptive consumer product?

Please stop avoiding the ME3 controversy. All gaming sites are coming into question about how they didn't warn anyone about the ending. They all lied to consumers. Please elaborate on why this was allowed to happen. Why did you all lie? If I would have known about a controversial ending then maybe I wouldn't have bought it, but you the gaming journalists failed. Each and every one. You showed your true colors. I hope you can live a liars life.

In response to the recent outrage of Mass Effect 3's ending, Bioware is now putting out a "more fitting" ending to the game. Do you think that these alternate endings will become a common trend in games?
