Pendleton Ward, creator of the popular Cartoon Network series Adventure Time, has confirmed on Twitter that the show is being turned into an upcoming Nintendo DS game. Ward's flurry of tweets on the matter reveal that WayForward Technologies is handling development, the same studio that did the last great DS game, Aliens: Infestation.
The above image speaks for itself, I think. Ward also confirmed that the game will be out sometime in 2012. Adventure Time frequently nods to video games and it should be a good fit for the DS platform.

This is too weird, two days ago I was saying that it would be the greatest thing if they made an Adventure Time game. And here it is! I cant wait, and I hope its good, not just something they made to say they have a game. But I do have the question, why put iron the DS when that's all but obsolete? Why not put it on the 3DS, that will get more people buying the 3DS to play this game if it does end up being good. That would be a win on nintendos side and on Wards side because 3DS games sell at higher prices.
