Slant Six Games, the developer behind this week's multiplayer-oriented Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, has announced its very first original IP, Strata Scavenger. There's not much info on this one yet; the developer's website confirms a planned 2013 release and support from the Canadian Media Fund, which forked over a million bucks in support.
A few additional details come from Game Informer. Strata Scavenger's setting is a post-apocalyptic one, with gameplay split between "web browser resource gathering" and "arcade flight simulation." Kinect and Move support is confirmed, as is a PC release release. Slant Six has a whole transmedia plan in place as well, with "social applications and non-game releases such as graphic novels" in the works.

Givin Slant Six's reputation of delivering mediocre games, namely SOCOM Confrontation and Raccoon City, do we even give a damn about their new IP? Here's to hoping they actually make something good to get their reputation to be more positive.
