Blizzard is still actively looking into adapting World of Warcraft for mobile devices, specifically the iPhone. The World of Warcraft Mobile Armory App is the closet WoW gamers can currently get to gaming on the go.
John Lagrave, a senior producer for WoW, told Eurogamer Blizzard is still working on making WoW on the iOS a reality.
"Here's your platform,[holding an iPhone] you've got to put an interface, what do you do? So yes we have and we always are. Maybe we'll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone - maybe we won't, but we're certainly looking into it.
"We won't do it until we think it's decent. But it's interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device - I'd have fun on it, that's absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and we're not - we don't think - we're foolish!
Lagrave went on to detail aspects of Mists of Pandaria, the upcoming WoW expansion, that could work on the mobile platform. Activities like fishing, farming and pet battles would be more suited for the iOS, but this was hardly a confirmation.
"When we have an epiphany, everyone will know," Lagrave concluded. "But for now, no epiphany!"
If Blizzard ever announces an iOS version of World of Warcraft, we'll let you know. Is the WoW app something you want?

its not possible the game size itself is too large there would be a serious drop in the horrid quality it already has. cata has about a 28 gig file size way too big for most devices

i can see the a mostly full version of the client running on the new ipad. the iphone's just too damn small to put a worthwhile UI on. not enough room for the action bars...

sad part is that it can be done. i have an order n chaos account.... but the skill casting is hard at times with my fat sausage fingers... plus with all the spell casting and view distance pop up... how bad will this game be minimized? battery life? ohhhh shet, the batteryyyy liffffe considering wow consumes alot of our time >.> .... <.< but yeah if the ios device had a military battery so it lasted a year just maybe... but for now guys if u want to play WoW on an ios device....i recommend order n chaos.... (yes yes its a WoW rip) but plays just like it , this is just until, and i must throw an IF in there... if blizz actually releases Mini ios WoW.

I think they should worry about porting it to consoles way before iOS.

Blizzard just stop it... just .. just stop it, there are things that should never even be considered on the mobile device, and if people really need then do a remote pc connection like i do if I REALLY need to get on wow and for some damn reason play it on my iphone.
cmdluke
well the game has certainly been dumbed down enough to be ported to a phone.
