Notch, the creator of Minecraft, says he's planning to make a space adventure game.
Speaking to the BBC this weekend after winning a BAFTA Special Award in London, Notch (A/K/A Markus Persson) said: “I think I’m going to make a space game, where you’re a guy on a spaceship and you have adventures in space.”
Notch says he'll start working on the game this summer.
My question: Can Notch do it again? Can someone who creates a truly unique, groundbreaking, industry-changing title like Minecraft possibly create another game with the same kind of impact? Is it fair to expect him to?
Whatever Notch does, I'm certain to follow along and check it out. Hopefully, he'll use the same release-strategy he used with Minecraft, and create a community that's interested in the game before it's even out of its alpha phase of development.

Oh course he is, not like one of the lead designers from terraria is making a similar game already, not like it is titled Starbound or anything. I guess its true what they say, great minds think alike.

I dont think it would be fair to expect Notch to create something better, or even as good as Minecraft. Games like that are not simply designed with that impact in mind, it's mostly luck. Minecraft was Notch's lottery ticket and the jackpot provided the resources for him to continue making games.

well, my question was answered immediately.
apparently he was the creator of minecraft.
personally i prefer Terraria, cuz, you know...you actually do stuffs..
