The Walking Dead Teaser Nails The Spirit Of The Series

Telltale Games has released a teaser trailer for The Walking Dead that effectively sets the proper tone for the upcoming episodic release based on Robert Kirkman's zombified comic book series and TV show. You're not getting a look at any kind of gameplay, but the progression of answering machine messages that play to the empty, apparently abandoned house is appropriately creepy and in keeping with what the series does best.

The teaser trailer arrives just days after we learned that the release of episode one of The Walking Dead is coming up on us quickly. Telltale CEO Dan Connors confirmed in a recent interview that we could be seeing the game arrive as soon as April 2012. The five episodes are reportedly rife with choices for players to make, and your decisions will reverberate forward into the way the stories in subsequent episodes play out.
