The next version of the Apple iPad will almost certainly be announced tomorrow morning, but it looks like it won't be called "The iPad 3." Instead, it will be called "iPad HD," according to a "developer who's previously provided reliable information with respect to things Apple," reported by CNET.
Obviously, the idea of the name is to call attention to the (supposedly) big feature of the next iPad: Its high definition screen. Previous rumors have pointed to the next iPad being a beefy, powerful machine. Rumors say that there is a quad-core processor with 4G LTE capacity.
We won't have to wait too long to discover the truth about the next-generation of iPad. Apple is hosting a press event on March 7 at 10 AM Pacific time. That means tomorrow morning will bring us the truth about the device... and maybe a look at other Apple devices and technology. I'm hoping for an Apple television set. Check back here at G4 tomorrow at 10 AM -- we'll be all over all the Apple news, as it happens.
Also: Don't miss Attack of the Show tomorrow at 7PM ET. AOTS will be featuring a panel of Apple experts to talk about whatever Apple announces that morning at their press event.
