Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics just added a veteran game maker to its team: Cory Barlog. The former Sony man worked closely with David Jaffe as the lead animator on the first God of War game, before taking over as the writer and director on God of War 2. He also worked on Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, the two PSP titles from Ready at Dawn.
Barlog now joins the Square Enix studio's team as a rebooted take on Lara Croft comes together in Tomb Raider. Barlog will be working on that as well as an unannounced title. He brings a lot of franchise development experience with him to Crystal Dynamics; this can only mean good things for both Tomb Raider and whatever that mysterious other title is.
