Assassin's Creed 3 Box Art Released

The box art for Assassin's Creed 3 has been released, and as we expected, it shows off the setting of the next AC game. It's Colonial America. The Assassin's Creed 3 image shows off the game's protagonist about lay down a massive tomahawk chop on what looks a lot like a Revolutionary War Redcoat soldier.  Here's a look at another Assassin's Creed 3 picture in which the American Revolution setting is obvious.

I think there's a LOT of potential here, and my personal "OMG!" meter just peaked.

I've posted the entire box under the "Read More" tag.

personally i think world war ii would have made a better setting as it was a big part of history for everyone and im ritih so it would make a lot of sense t show us wht it was like and besides it could have been an assasins that killed hitler that would make a good ending

    P.S.
i.e. the Guerilla fighters of the South were very similar to the assassins in fighting style and in the misconceptions that they were bloodthirsty wretches preying on their victims

A few years ago I was in psychology class and we were discussing deja vu and I threw out a theory that had come to mind: what if our ancestors' memories were stored in our brains or DNA somehow and that's what triggered deja vu? This was before I had played Assassin's Creed, but when I did get the game I was surprised to see that my theory had literally come to reality in the game. Since then I've always admired Ubisoft for their ability to make it so exhillerating to learn about history.

My next thought was that it would be sweet if the game eventually was set in America during or after the Civil War conflict, what with all of the political hatred that was experienced. The only problem with this is that the Civil War is a pretty touchy subject for us, being such a brutal conflict; not to mention you would be stepping on a lot of people's toes by calling them templars, but hey, the Brits will still play the AC 3 multiplayer with the Americans and have fun nonetheless, I am sure. Anyway, if there's any way to pull it off, I think it would be great. Also, this would open the door for one of my own ancestors, Cole Younger, to be a part of this game, which would be sick. I know this isn't the Civil War, this is the Revolutionary War, but still, a lot of potential here, and I am stoked beyond belief to see how this turns out.

After watching a documentary on the Templars that speculated on Henry Sinclair coming the America to found a new Templar nation I see awesome potential for story here. I showed Templar landmarks that spanned from New England, Canada, to the far side of Lake Superior.

Im gong to go out on a limb her nd guess, because of the tomahawk and the bow n arrow, that our new protagonist is native american.

"For years now we've enjoyed the adventures of Ezio Auditore as he makes his way through the Italian Renaissance and Ottoman-controlled Constantinople. That story is over. Ever since the conclusion of Assassin's Creed II, a senior team of Ubisoft developers has been secretly toiling away on what comes next. That team aimed high, with plans to examine and rethink every element of the franchise from the ground up, build something new, and take a full three year development cycle to do it." -game informer. Emphasis on the three years working on it to all you who believe ubisoft is rushing assassins creed!

This game has been in 3 year development, the other games were just like a finish up side story for Ezio, Altair and the connection with Desmond ( Assassin's creed brotherhood, Revelations). They been working on this for awhile, so good chance were going to see a lot of new stuff and with a 3 year development, that's plenty to master a game since Battlefield 3 was a 4 year development. Honestly I know I will be excited for this game! also, for the people complaining about it being in America? really the Revolutionary War! the Battle for our rights, Freedom etc. and how the Templar's want control!! hello anyone putting the pieces together! god instead of complaining go to school... and New York would be best place based on its history, and ruins its New York! there's tons of secrets in the big apple that were built Many years ago and then forgotten! or built over and over again. /sigh
