UPDATE: It's official. Assassin's Creed 3 is set during the American Revolution. You can tell from the officially released Assassin's Creed 3 box art.
Assassin's Creed 3 may take place during the American Revolution if you believe this alleged leaked image. A Best Buy employee sent this image of an assassin behind an American flag with 13 stars to Kotaku. The assassin in the image may be a Native American judging by the arrows. Ubisoft is set to make a major Assassin's Creed 3 announcement on Monday, March 5th.
As of now, this image has not been confirmed as official or even concept art. We do know the Assassin's Creed 3 release date though.

I think there will be a lot of wilderness in this one. They might have a system allowing us to climb trees. Think about it. He's Native American. A Native American of that time would work better in the wilderness anyway. It's his turf. They're playing on his home field.

the outfit looks really cool but I can't wait to figure out how they pull off traversal. I guess it knid of makes sense that they make it in America, it is 2012 now and they might be trying to really push the story closer to the present since they revealed what happened to the planet and how it will affect us again this year. I HIGHLY doubt this will be the end but I think it is a leap toward ending the story.

This could actually make for a good concept in the game. Spelling a whole lot of twist and turns in the game, seeing that the ideans where sided with the british, most of americas founders were Templars, and that Washington actually had his own spy network. Only matter of how morally ubisoft goes to crate a storyline to either help america out or to demonize it

I thought that it would finally be just Desmond but this is great to. Washington, Madason, or Franklin will propably be the Assasians mentor. Not Jefferson, Adams, or Handcook because they were kinda a-holes.
