Double Fine Adventure Kickstarter Campaign Reaches $400K In Hours

The patent-and-trademark sniffing professionals at Silicon Era have unearthed Double Fine's trademark filing for "The Cave" in connection with video games.

Do you know what this means? This means the Kickstarter-funded Double Fine game we've heard about could end up being called "The Cave!"  Of course, it could end up being the title of another Double Fine game. Or it could mean nothing at all.  Such is the way of the world.

Personally, I think "The Cave" is an awesome title for an adventure game, not only because of it's reference to Plato, but also it's reference to The Colossal Cave Adventure also known as Adventure, also known as the first ever computer adventure game.
