It looks increasingly like the iPad 3 will be unveiled by Apple next week, and if its true stats match up to the rumors and speculation, it will be more than powerful enough to deliver "core" gaming experiences.
According to a tweet from CNBC, here's how the iPad 3 will break down:
"Quad-Core iPad 3 with 4G LTE to be unveiled in New York next week. -Sources"
Supposedly, the iPad 3 will go on sale on March 9, but will be announced on March 7. Apple sent out invites to an iPad-related event taking place on March 7 at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
What do you think? Are you going to pick one up? Personally, I'm cool with my iPad 2 and don't want anything new, but I might change my mind when I see whatever is packed into the iPad 3!

A faster processor and 4G? If they don't have more than that, I can't see why people would really upgrade. I have an iPad 1, and didn't need a 2 simply for a faster processor (it's a tablet, not a video editing or gaming rig) and a camera (have one on my phone). Apple need to continue to innovate and not just slightly upgrade products.
That being said, I'd imagine Siri will also be on this iPad, and that will make a lot of Apple fanboys upgrade.

Ipad 3...... oh hell?!? I never have owned a tablet I can do everything i want/need to from my Xbox 360, Droid RAZR, or laptop and these 3 combined prolly cost less than an ipad3 lol Apple needs to just cut out and let Jobs R.I.P and quit being so greedy.... seriously

Photo editing, highlighting, and manipulation.
Music creation and editing.
Library, holds all the tech manuals for my music studio
Library, holds my music, cooking, photoshop, and Japanese language study books and magazines.
Digital drawing and painting that can be imported into Photoshop for further editing.
Cooking and recipe editing
Single player and mutilplayer games.
Email, faster than booting my laptop and entering my password.
Web browsing, faster than my laptop.
Weather and police radio check.
Free video phone and text meassaging.
All of this anywhere and everywhere!
Will this replace my 360/ps3, Hell no! But neither will my laptop.

It's not Apple's fault they have to release a new iPad and iPhone every 6 months, they have to keep making revisions because their products are so far behind the times. Blame their competitors for being superior.

Screw that, who's pathetic enough to spent twice as much as they need to on poor products? I probably paid less for my laptop and it'll do more than a lousy tablet. Unless Apple learns to price their products better I won't be giving them a dime.

i had the iPad 1, didn't feel the need to get an iPad 2, I'm definitely going to get the iPad 3. I'm going to try and get the odd numbered iPads and my friend will get the even numbered iPads so we can have fun with all of them.

My HTC Sensation is more powerful and sleeker than both the iPhone and the iPad. They're cool, but just don't see what's so cool about them.
