While God of War 4 doesn't officially exist, a South African retailer has made the game available for pre-order. BT Games estimates the game will be available in February, 2013.
Let me use my video game expertise to "unpack" the two parts of this rumor for you:
- The Release Date: Retailers are not good sources for release dates. They often put in placeholder dates that are basically guesses. Don't set your calendar, yet.
- The Game Itself: I would bet a significant amount of money that this game is in development. I'd even give you odds of 20 to one. While there has been no official announcement mad of the game, composer Timothy Williams listed God of War 4 on his resume. There were also job listings. But the most compelling evidence: You'd have to be freakin' nuts to not be making the sequel in such a successful franchise.
We'll obviously be watching this closely, and we'll let you know when we hear anything.

Chaos ruled the world before the Titans and Gods existed and in the end there will be only Chaos.

We've already seen the 2 extremes of Kratos' personality. Ridiculously angry & out for revenge, to Over-The-Top angry & out for revenge. What more is there? Drop Kratos for a new character, and I'll probably play it.

Kratos, while having sex with 2 women, gets a notification from the dmv that he hasn't sent in his change of address form after moving up to Olympia.
He gets pissed, storms off the mountian, slips and falls. Dies.
Comes back, goes to dmv, gets number L231 (which never gets called) and goes on a killing spree.

hmm....the only possible means of a squeal to this either:
A.) Lesser gods or titans try to take power
B.)Other gods, such as the Egyptians, Celtic, Feudal, or Pershing try to push their weights into the territory.
C.) The Roman empire comes to Mt. Olympus take lost powers of the gods for their own.
What ever the case my be, knowing Kratos...he will be very mad for what ever reason it is for him to go on a mass rampage of blood and death
