This morning's launch of early copies of Mass Effect 3 into space is one small step for Man, but a giant leap for... something. Okay, maybe not a giant leap, but it's pretty cool.
Anyway, we've got video of the launch below. Click play to see how it all went down this morning in San Francisco.
As of the time of this posting, no one has picked up the copies of the game, but they've landed somewhere near HWY 1, Redwood State Park & Big Basin. Pro tip: There are a lot of huge trees there. I'd look in the top branches of one of them.

Both balloons landed in wilderness, me and two friends + 12 other dedicated fans hung out with the Bioware employee a few miles into the wilderness while we waited for the extraction team, after several hours they were unable to get it so they decided to call it off. today (Feb 24) they are going back to retrieve them
